The "Queen of Chocolate" celebrates her new album in Beirut
At 'Rotana Café' that is located in the center of Beirut a press conference was held in order to celebrate Emirates artist "Rowaida Al Mahrouqi's" newest album "Mahri Ghali" (My Dowry is Expensive), which was supposed to be released months ago.
The first video clip, which had also been delayed several weeks, from the new album was shown at the conference. The clip was for the song "Ey Ey" and is scheduled to go on air on 'Rotana' music channels within the next few days. Kuwaiti director Hussein Dashti chose Lebanon to film the clip and specifically at "Al Kaslik University", where the filming lasted for one day and the montage took two days.
According to the London daily Elaph, Rowaida was accompanied by Ahmad Dashti the brother of the director who is seen with the director often, and who had came up with the ideas of the clips. The focus of the conference was on the chocolate bath which caused a riot in the Gulf countries press, because Rowaida broke all Khaliji (Gulf) traditions by making such a video clip.
It was obvious from the beginning that Rowaida and the production company wanted to pull all the attention on the "Chocolate Bath" and over half of the press conference was spent on the issue. Rowaida had defended the clip and said she believed in the idea of the clip before she started filming, because she just wanted to appear like the "Queen Of Chocolate".

She added that she wasn't trying to be seductive in the clip contrary to what many accused her of being. Many of the journalists thought that the clip is not suitable for a khaliji (someone from the Gulf countries) female artist and thought that it was too daring.
