LONDON (AFP) - Saudi Arabia has begun discussions to buy a second batch of Eurofighter Typhoon jets from British group BAE Systems and could double its fleet to 144, the Financial Times said on Monday.
"The Gulf kingdom could buy up to 72 more of the multi-role aircraft, an adviser to the Saudi government confirmed last night (Sunday)," the FT added.
BAE and Saudi Arabia last year signed a 4.43-billion-pound deal to supply 72 Eurofighter Typhoon planes to Riyadh.
